About the Role
CVP NextLabs is hiring a Software Engineer to build and scale Fifer applications. This is not a maintenance role. You will ship features that automate workflows used by Federal Agencies using AI and integrate with the security tool ecosystems of some of the most critical agencies in the U.S. government.
We build with AI-first principles: LLMs, Agent Harnesses, AI-assisted coding tools are part of our daily workflow, not novelties. If you think in prompts and context windows as naturally as you think in functions, you will fit right in.
The Hiring Challenge (Required)
We do not hire from resumes alone. After submitting your application, you will receive a challenge brief asking you to build a small working app that solves a real compliance or government workflow problem using AI. We want to see how you think from first principles, how you use AI tools as a development partner, and what you ship when no one is looking over your shoulder. There are no trick questions and no single right answer.
