Fifer Platform Software Engineer

About Fifer 

Fifer is CVP's enterprise GenAI platform purpose-built for government. It runs entirely in a customer’s cloud environment with zero data leaving their control, swappable LLMs, patent-pending multi-agent RAG, out-of-box web apps, and support for API integration with 3rd party systems. 

About the Role 

CVP NextLabs is hiring a Software Engineer to build and scale the Fifer platform as the keystone of our GenAI operations. The main platform includes our web front-end, back-end, and supporting tools like Fifer Desktop. 

• Design, build, and maintain the Fifer platform. 
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on AWS and Azure 
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines 
• Collaborate with our other product teams to build broadly useful, reliable, GenAI solutions 
• Participate in and help evolve an AI-first development culture where prompts, agents, and automation replace toil 

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering 
• Web front-end: HTMX, Alpine.js for building responsive, user-friendly applications 
• Back-end: Python, FastAPI for building highly-scalable, containerized applications  
• Nice to have: Rust, Tauri for desktop applications 
• Docker/Podman 
• Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions 
• PostgreSQL including schema design and query optimization 
• Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar
