Overview

CVP is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our growing team. Role of Test Automation Engineer is to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software for our QA/IV&V program.

 

You will collaborate closely with the test manager, developers, product managers, product owners, and functional QA analysts to identify requirements, build/enhance test coverage, provide test reports, report defects, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Puppeteer (desired) for web application testing.

  • Execute automated test suites across multiple environments and ensure consistent, reliable test results.

  • Collaborate with QA analysts, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency, stability, and reusability.

  • Integrate automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, including setup, scheduling, and monitoring of automated test runs.

  • Execute test cases locally and in SauceLabs.

  • Track test progress, defects, and status updates using JIRA, ensuring clear and timely communication.

  • Monitor test execution results, and automation trends using Grafana dashboards.

  • Perform root-cause analysis of test failures and work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Build a Proof of Concept (hands on) for developed solutions and demo it to customers and internal teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, including OOP principles, debugging, and writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience in automation testing; Selenium WebDriver preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to analyze test failures and identify root causes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with developers, testers, and DevOps teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in an Agile environment.

Desired Skills

  • CI/CD, DevOps (Jenkins)
  • Testing and automation tools (TestRail, SonarQube, Katalon Studio, TestRail)
  • Familiar with Cloud infrastructures (AWS, Saucelabs)
  • Experience with Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing, and reusable automation patterns.
  • Practical experience using Jenkins for automated test execution and reporting.
  • Experience using JIRA for test case management, defect tracking, and workflow updates.
  • Understanding of API testing, automation best practices, and testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, performance).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Puppeteer for browser automation and end-to-end testing of modern web applications.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Jenkins, Grafana is helpful.
  • Familiarity with cloud test execution plantform such as SauceLabs, BrowserStack etc.
