Overview

CVP is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Lead to join our team providing pharmacy support services for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Meds by Mail program in Dublin, GA. This leadership role offers an opportunity to serve our Nation's Veterans while guiding a team of pharmacy technicians in delivering essential healthcare services. As a Pharmacy Technician Lead with the Meds by Mail program, you will provide oversight and guidance to a team of pharmacy technicians while working under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. You will help ensure efficient workflow, maintain quality standards, and support the timely processing and distribution of medications to Veterans across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of pharmacy technicians
  • Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy technicians
  • Coordinate work assignments and workflow processes
  • Monitor productivity and quality metrics
  • Assist in resolving complex prescription issues
  • Serve as a liaison between pharmacy technicians and pharmacists
  • Ensure compliance with all VA pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Process prescription orders in the VA pharmacy system
  • Prepare and package medications for mail delivery when needed
  • Assist in inventory management and procurement processes
  • Respond to inquiries from Veterans regarding prescription status
  • Perform other leadership duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
  • Experience with VA pharmacy systems a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers and pharmacy software systems
  • Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Must comply with all VA and facility policies and procedures

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
