Overview

CVP is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join our team providing pharmacy support services for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Meds by Mail program in Dublin, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to serve our Nation's Veterans in a vital healthcare support role. As a Pharmacy Technician with the Meds by Mail program, you will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to help process, prepare, and distribute medications to Veterans across the country. This position plays a critical role in ensuring Veterans receive timely, accurate medication deliveries through the VA's mail order pharmacy program.

Responsibilities

  • Process prescription orders in the VA pharmacy system
  • Prepare and package medications for mail delivery
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic systems
  • Verify patient information and prescription details
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality assurance procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and supervisors
  • Respond to basic inquiries from Veterans regarding prescription status
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of pharmacy operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
  • Experience with electronic prescription processing systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Must comply with all VA and facility policies and procedures

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week with various shifts available, Monday through Friday
