Nuclear Medicine Radiologist (Physician)

CVP is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to provide onsite services at the Lexington VA Healthcare System in Lexington, KY. The shift schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Pay Rate: $385/hr (1099)

• Provide direct patient care in Nuclear Medicine procedures including General Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and PET/CT.
• Provide consultation and instruction to referring physicians on appropriate indications for radiologic procedures.
• Shall determine appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.
• Ensures pre and post technical oversight and feedback for the technologists and nurses involved in performing procedures.
• Administration/supervision of all drugs as needed for the performance and interpretation of imaging examinations.
• Shall provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinate with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.  

• Must be Board Certified in Radiology.
• Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• NPI report printout
• Active DEA license
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
