CVP is seeking Board Certified Radiologists to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with high-quality radiological services at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Baltimore VAMC is one of only a few VA Medical Centers in the country with two large federally funded programs in geriatrics - Geriatric Research Education Clinical Center (GRECC) and a Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in interventional radiology, moderate sedation, and fluoroscopy including triage, pre-procedure and post-procedure care.
  • Assist in the drafting of standard operating procedures.
  • Reviews imaging requests and consults and directs scheduling priorities.
  • Provide on-call services for interventional radiology.
  • Ensures pre and post technical oversight and feedback for the technologists and nurses involved in performing procedures.
  • Administrative/supervision of all drugs as needed for the performance interpretation of imaging examinations.

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited program
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records systems
  • Current ACLS and BLS, or willing to obtain the certifications prior to start.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation at the Public Trust clearance level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a VA Medical Center
  • Fellowship training in one or more radiological subspecialties
