Overview

CVP is an Audiology Health Technician to support our Veterans' hearing healthcare services at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS). This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

 

Location:

  • Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System: 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119

Responsibilities

  • Assist audiologists in delivering comprehensive patient care and supporting audiology services
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient records
  • Conduct preliminary hearing tests under audiologist supervision
  • Maintain and calibrate audiology equipment
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms and equipment
  • Process hearing aid repairs and maintain repair logs
  • Assist with hearing aid orientation and basic troubleshooting
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling, record-keeping, and billing support
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience in Audiology services and repairs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field preferred
  • Experience with electronic health records systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
  • US citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain VA credentials including PIV card
  • Must pass background investigation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in VA or military healthcare settings
  • Knowledge of VA systems and procedures
  • Experience with hearing aid maintenance and repairs
