Overview

CVP is seeking a talented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. This is a stable career opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing professional services company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and payment of vendor invoices in Unanet system (paperless accounting)
  • Complete corporate purchases using corporate credit card
  • Reconcile credit card account monthly
  • Approve purchase requests made by others
  • Submit purchase orders for items prior to payment
  • Monitor email inbox for invoices from vendors and respond to questions
  • Send payment remittances each week
  • Assist with annual external audit
  • Assist with monthly closing and accounting support backup
  • Assist with payroll data entry
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
  • Utilize financial analytical skills to solve issues

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in entering transactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and tenacity; effective in a deadline-driven environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Experience with Unanet accounting system (optional)
