Overview

CVP is seeking a Financial Analyst who will support a federal health care client to systematically integrate business, cost estimating and financial management processes to ensure the efficient stewardship of public funds. Must be able to support the formulation of strategic financial plans, prepare cost estimates, and correlate financing requirements into executable budgets.

 

The consultant will possess thorough knowledge of the allocation, execution, and administration of approved budgets. Must be able to assess products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards. Must be able to grasp interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or later.

Responsibilities

  • Develops accurate financial models and forecasts to ensure proper resource allocation for healthcare innovation projects.

  • Conducts thorough cost-benefit analyses to determine the economic viability of proposed healthcare innovations.

  • Prepares clear, compliant financial reports that meet federal standards and provide transparency to all stakeholders.

  • Analyzes and reports on the financial implications of healthcare policies to support informed decision-making.

  • Responsible for developing and tracking key financial performance indicators for healthcare innovation projects.

  • Conducts comprehensive financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for healthcare innovation initiatives.

  • Effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to federal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • Expected to utilize advanced analytics tools to analyze large datasets and support data-driven financial decision-making in healthcare innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or SAS)
  • Basic understanding of SQL for data querying
  • Excellent quality assurance and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple assignments
  • Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance (e.g., Public Trust)
  • All applicants must have the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship

Desired Skills

  • Experience as a Management Consultant to federal clients 
  • Experience performing finanical analysis or accounting for federal management functions (e.g., monitoring Uniform Guidance [2 CFR 200] requirements)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in progress, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in progress, or
  • Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification
